A study by the Centro de Estudios del Desarrollo (CED) at the University of Puerto Rico's Río Piedras campus found that the concentration level in Puerto Rico's retail trade increased between 2017 and 2022. The study, conducted by the CED, indicates a rise in concentration in the retail sector over the five-year period.
