The Police are conducting a raid at the Brisas de Cupey public housing complex in the Cupey area. According to Inspector Joey Fontánez, Director of the Intelligence and Arrests Division, authorities arrived at the complex to serve a search and seizure warrant related to a person of interest in a drug and arms investigation. The investigation, which began in Bayamón, led to the complex in San Juan.
The raid was temporarily suspended when a pregnant woman, the partner of the person being investigated, experienced a health issue. The woman, who is the apartment's tenant, received medical assistance and was taken to a hospital. Police officials and staff from the Public Housing Administration are on the scene, verifying four vacant units to ensure resident safety and confirm that the units are empty.
No arrests have been reported so far.
