Police found the body of an unidentified man who died from multiple gunshot wounds inside a black BMW on Highway PR-199, near the Alturas de Cupey public housing project in San Juan. Captain Wanda Torres, assistant director of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) in San Juan, told El Nuevo Día that a 911 call alerted authorities to a person shot at the scene. According to the preliminary report, the victim was driving on the road at 6:18 p.m. when he was shot by one or more individuals.
He was described as a white-skinned man with brown eyes, short wavy brown hair and a goatee, weighing about 180 pounds and standing 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing multicolored shorts with a rose design, black "Supreme" branded underwear, a blue t-shirt with a bear logo, black-and-red sneakers, long black socks, and earrings with white stones in both ears. He had multiple tattoos on his left leg, though police did not describe them.
Authorities had not immediately said whether shell casings were recovered at the scene or whether the shooting was carried out from another moving vehicle.
