A serious traffic accident was reported on the Luis A. Ferré highway (PR-52) near kilometer 29.8, in the direction from Caguas to Cayey, around 11:18 a.m. on Friday.
According to preliminary data from the Police Press Office, the driver of a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder collided with the rear of a 1988 Mack R-600 truck. The 91-year-old driver of the Pathfinder suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital by paramedics.
The Caguas Highway and Road Patrol Division is investigating the incident.
