A woman was injured in the head during a family dispute at the Acuática Resort condominium in Loíza, according to a preliminary report from the Police. The incident occurred at 4:55 a.m. on Saturday.
José Padín, the director of Homicidios at the Cuerpo de Investigaciones Criminales (CIC) in Carolina, could not confirm if the case is one of gender-based violence. Preliminary data indicates that the woman has an open wound on her forehead, possibly caused by a blunt object or a knife.
The woman was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition. No arrests have been made in relation to the incident, which is being investigated by the CIC in Carolina.
