A man accidentally shot himself while cleaning one of his firearms in the Villa Universitaria neighborhood of Humacao, according to the Police. The man, who has a gun license, was handling the firearm while performing maintenance when it accidentally discharged, injuring him.
He was taken to a local hospital, where medical staff confirmed he suffered an entrance and exit wound in his left calf. Agents from the Humacao CIC's Aggressions Division will conduct the investigation.
The incident occurred on Calle Cuatro in the urbanization.
