The Autoridad de Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AAA) reported that seven reservoirs in Puerto Rico experienced a decrease in water levels over the past 24 hours, while seven others saw an increase, and five remained unchanged. The Carraízo reservoir in Trujillo Alto decreased by four centimeters to 40.75 meters, a level corresponding to the security phase.
Other reservoirs that decreased include Cerrillos in Ponce, Guayo in Lares, Garzas in Adjuntas, Guayabal in Juana Díaz, Río Blanco in Naguabo, and Toa Vaca in Villalba. In contrast, La Plata reservoir in Comerío increased by two centimeters to 44.72 meters, maintaining operational adjustments.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in San Juan forecasted a 70% chance of rain, with estimated accumulations of three-quarters of an inch to one inch, and warned of limited to elevated risk of excessive rain. The NWS also reported that two low-pressure systems will approach from the northeast, potentially bringing thunderstorms and heavy rain to the northwest of Puerto Rico.
