The Carraízo and La Plata reservoirs started the week with increased water levels, according to the Autoridad de Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AAA) daily report. Carraízo, located in Trujillo Alto, registered a 0.02-meter increase, reaching 39.16 meters, while La Plata, in Toa Alta, rose 0.14 meters to 44.40 meters.
Carraízo remains under observation, and La Plata is under operational adjustments, but its subscribers are not experiencing water rationing. Other reservoirs under observation, such as Río Blanco, Fajardo, and Guayabal, lost water in the last 24 hours.
The Servicio Nacional de Meteorología in San Juan forecasted scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly over local waters, which may reach eastern Puerto Rico in the morning and the interior and west in the afternoon. Additionally, a tropical wave is expected to arrive in the region on Wednesday night, potentially increasing rainfall and thunderstorms, as well as the risk of flooding.
