Puerto Rico authorities are investigating the discovery of a charred body inside a burned residence around 5:05 a.m. Saturday on PR-523, kilometer 4.2, in the Juan González neighborhood of Adjuntas. Police said a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted authorities to the incident. Emergency management personnel and the Fire Bureau extinguished the blaze, and inside the home they found the burned body of one person.
The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time. Personnel from the Ponce Area Explosives Office are investigating.
