A female reticulated python measuring 18 feet and 4 inches was captured in a Naranjito community, near a school, by a group of snake hunters known as 'Proyecto Retic'. According to a Facebook post, this is the largest wild reticulated python captured and documented in Puerto Rico to date.
The snake hunters emphasized the importance of addressing reports of these animals and removing them from areas close to communities. The capture was reported on Sunday.
