Morovis Offers Free Sports Clinics for Children and Young People

The Municipality of Morovis is offering free sports clinics for children and young people, including basketball, volleyball, and swimming. Mayor Carmen Maldonado González announced that the program is being developed in collaboration with the Department of Recreation and Sports, as well as with sports organizations, clubs, and leagues. The basketball clinics are held at the Alfredo 'Dule' Otero court, with sessions for different age groups on Mondays, Wednesdays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 4:00 pm.

Volleyball clinics are held at the sports complex, with sessions for children aged 6-10 on Tuesdays and for young people aged 11-16 on Wednesdays, both at 4:00 pm. Swimming clinics are offered at the municipal pool, including a 'Learning to Swim' program on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:00to 6:00 pm, and 'Basic Skills and Knowledge' clinics on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00to 7:00 pm.

Mayor Maldonado González emphasized that these initiatives aim to provide minors with the opportunity to learn and practice different sports disciplines, while promoting health, socialization, and healthy competition.
