The Municipality of San Juan celebrated the fourth edition of 'Patitas en la Pista' on Sunday, an event that brought together families and their pets at Parque José Celso Barbosa. The initiative, organized by the San Juan Municipality's Animal Protection and Adoption Center, began with a traditional 3K canine run, where participants completed the course with their pets.
After the run, a free family day was held, featuring activities such as a vaccination day for the first 100 eligible pets, contests, prizes, and music. The event also included the Doggie Bazaar, where local entrepreneurs offered pet products, and the Rincón de Sabor, with gastronomic options for attendees. According to the municipality, the event aimed to promote responsible pet ownership and educate the public about animal care and protection.
The first lady of San Juan, Maritere González, and the director of the Animal Protection and Adoption Center, Thomás González, highlighted the importance of promoting pet care and responsibility. The event was supported by several companies and entities, including Royal Canin, FastSigns, and Banco Popular.
