A carjacking attempt was reported in the early morning hours on PR-5 highway in Bayamón, where an individual allegedly intercepted a woman traveling with her husband and tried to take her vehicle, according to the Puerto Rico Police. The woman reported that the suspect threatened and intimidated her while she was with her husband, and physically assaulted her in the face area.
The suspect also attempted to take a 2024 Kia Sportage. Another assailant, using a firearm, pointed it at the woman's husband and took a gold chain valued at approximately $3,000. The victims arrived at a hospital in their vehicle and were evaluated by a doctor. The case was referred to the Bayamón Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) for further investigation.
