Puerto Rico Governor Jenniffer Aydin González Colón was involved in a motorcycle accident on Sunday afternoon in Cataño. She was on her way to meet with newly elected Mayor Hiram Torres Montalvo when the motorcycle tipped over while making a turn.
Despite the incident, González Colón got up and greeted Torres Montalvo. Torres Montalvo won the special election with 1,725 votes, defeating Bethzaida Rodríguez Torres, who received 1,484 votes.
González Colón had intended to congratulate Torres Montalvo on his victory.
