The SNM maintains a limited risk of flooding in the west due to the possibility of significant local rainfall accumulations. Winds will gradually increase over the next few days, but remain relatively light on Tuesday.
Temperatures will bring a break from heat-related issues, but the SNM recommends that people staying outdoors for extended periods continue to hydrate and take breaks, especially during the hottest hours. Conditions are expected to change by Thursday, with a trough and surface disturbance approaching the region, leading to increased humidity and shower activity. The SNM anticipates a slightly rainier pattern that could extend beyond the short-term forecast period.
