A cement spill has closed PR-140 highway at kilometer 10 in the Canalizo neighborhood of Jayuya after a truck carrying cement overturned. According to the Police, the truck stalled while driving up a hill and then tipped over. The driver, who was not identified, suffered minor injuries.
The accident occurred while traveling from Utuado towards Jayuya. Due to the cement spill, the highway remains closed, and authorities are urging drivers to use alternative routes, such as PR-111 highway in the Viví Arriba neighborhood, towards Jayuya. Drivers are also advised to exercise caution when passing through the area.
