Jayuya is a town and municipality in the mountainous center region of Puerto Rico, north of Ponce, east of Utuado, and west of Ciales. Founded in 1911, it is an inland municipality spread over 10 barrios plus Jayuya Pueblo, covering about 102.1 km² and lying roughly 36 miles from San Juan, with a population of approximately 14,779 as of 2020.
Jayuya serves as the principal city of the Jayuya Micropolitan Statistical Area, giving it a role as a hub for the surrounding mountainous area.
