New Policy for Third-Party Vehicle Reservations on Puerto Rico Ferry

Published Oct 1, 2026 · via NotiCel

The Autoridad de Transporte Integrado (ATI) and Puerto Rico Ferry have announced a new policy allowing passengers to authorize another person to manage a vehicle space reservation on their behalf. This new option enables a business representative, family member, household member, or any other authorized person to complete the reservation process, providing greater flexibility when coordinating trips.

The person managing the reservation must provide the passenger's full legal name and contact information, a copy of the driver's license, and a copy of the vehicle license, including the make, model, year, plate, and sticker expiration date. Payment for the reservation must be made in full at the time of booking. Any changes to the reservation, driver, or vehicle must be completed no later than 60 minutes before the scheduled departure.
