Why this matters: The play’s performance at the Caguas Theater Festival offers free entertainment to the local community, showcasing the work of Puerto Rican artists and producers.

The comedy play 'El Papelón de la Boda' will be part of the 47th Caguas Theater Festival, with three performances at the Luis M. Arcela Theater in Caguas from October 9 to 11. The play, produced and directed by Alejandro Roque Porrata, presents a humorous look at the situations that can occur behind a wedding while guests enjoy the celebration.

The story follows Johanna, played by Alana Suheil Santiago Cardona, a wedding coordinator who must face a series of unexpected situations while trying to avoid a wedding disaster. The play is inspired by real experiences and addresses, through humor, the secrets and entanglements that can remain out of sight of the guests but end up marking the celebration.

Performances will be held on October 9 and 10 at 8:00 PM, and on October 11 at 4:00 PM, with free admission. The public can contact the Department of Culture of the Autonomous Municipality of Caguas at 787-653-8833 for information and ticket reservations.
