Esther Rosario Ruperto, representing Barranquitas in the Miss Mundo Latina Puerto Rico pageant, will promote the importance of work, passion, and connection to the land, as well as her love for agriculture. The pageant will take place on January 30 at the Embassy Suites in Isla Verde. Rosario, 20, has experience in agricultural labor on her family’s farm in Barranquitas and is also an esthetician.
She aims to develop a wellness proposal that promotes skin care and feminine aesthetics using natural products and sustainable agricultural practices. Rosario wants to inspire new generations to value the land and see it as a source of life, health, and beauty, and redefine the concept of beauty by showing that a queen can also be a woman committed to her community and the future of Puerto Rican agriculture.
