The music of Michael Jackson was performed by the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra at the Festival Hall of the Santurce Fine Arts Center on October 3. The show, 'Thriller: A Philharmonic Tribute to Michael Jackson,' featured Jamaal Fields-Green and Aramie Payton, known for their performances as Michael Jackson in the Broadway and West End productions of MJ the Musical.
The sold-out event brought together people of all ages, many dressed in outfits inspired by Michael Jackson’s style, including hats, gloves, and red leather jackets. The orchestra, led by maestro José Manuel Febus, performed a medley of Michael Jackson’s hits, followed by Fields-Green and Payton singing 'Don’t Stop 'Til You Get Enough' and 'Rock with You.'
The tribute continued with medleys dedicated to Michael Jackson’s time with the Jackson Five and The Jacksons, featuring songs like 'I’ll Be There,' 'ABC,' and 'Blame It on the Boogie.' Payton performed 'Wanna Be Startin' Somethin',' while Fields-Green received a prolonged applause for his interpretation of 'Human Nature.'
