The Municipality of Peñuelas will celebrate its town festivities from October 9 to 11 at the Luis Muñoz Marín Sports Complex. The event will feature live music, family activities, sports tournaments, artisans, and a traditional competition for the best bacalaíto with bread. On Friday, October 9, performances by MJ Crew, Esmerald Dance, Banda Club Soda, Los Ke Zone, and Jking & Maximan will kick off the festivities.
Saturday’s activities will include a gastronomic competition, a rooster boot exhibition, and a domino tournament, with music by Axis del Merengue, Rumba Caliente, DJ King Arthur, La Tribu de Abrante, and Limit-21. On Sunday, October 11, there will be activities for children, including face painting, balloon figures, a mini farm, the Magic Dreams show, and inflatables.
A 3-on-3 basketball tournament for people 50 years or older will also take place. The event will close with the second edition of the Día del Salsero Peñolano Héctor 'Pichie' Pérez, featuring performances by Salsa Sur, Kevin Gabriel, Andy Montañez, Luisito Ayala, and Puerto Rican Power, as well as a tribute to the late singer Tito Rojas.
The festivities will be dedicated to the colmados of Peñuelas’ neighborhoods and will include free rides and Joey Hernández as the official animator.
