The Centenario Catalino "Tite" Curet Alonso Committee, along with the Casa Histórica de la Música in Cayey, the Municipality of Cayey, the Universidad de Puerto Rico in Cayey, and Radio Universidad de Puerto Rico, invite the public to 'Tite: Imagen, Música y Baile', a celebration of Tite Curet Alonso’s cultural legacy. The event will take place on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Casa Histórica de la Música in Cayey and the Plaza Ramón Frade León.
Activities include the presentation of the book ¡Viva Curet! El poeta del pueblo by José Rodríguez, with analysis by Dr. Hiram Guadalupe, as well as a dance presentation by students of the Universidad de Puerto Rico in Cayey and a musical performance by the Casita musicians. This event is part of the Centenario program, which will run until February 2027.
The public is invited to attend and reflect on Tite Curet Alonso’s figure and work through various art forms.
