Teen Cyclist Seriously Injured in Moca Accident

A 17-year-old cyclist suffered serious injuries in an accident with a vehicle in Moca yesterday afternoon, according to the Police. The incident occurred at 5:36 p.m. on PR-422, in the Capá neighborhood, when the cyclist failed to notice a 2013 Ford F-150 approaching and was hit by the vehicle, which was driven by a 20-year-old from San Sebastián.

The cyclist was thrown off and fell onto the pavement, resulting in serious injuries. The minor was treated and transported to a hospital, where he was evaluated and later referred to a metropolitan hospital for further care. The investigation was led by Agent Iván Ramos Rivera, under the supervision of Sergeant David Pardo Maisonave, and the case was reviewed by Prosecutor Víctor Román Pérez, who ordered the collection of evidence, including a breath alcohol test for the driver, which yielded a result of 0.00%.

The vehicle involved was taken to the Traffic Division's facilities as part of the investigation.
