The Puerto Rico Financial Advisory Authority and Fiscal Agency (AAFAF) held its first Pink Lighting ceremony in commemoration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Puerto Rico. AAFAF’s interim executive director, Vicky González Vega, reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to education, prevention, early detection, and support for individuals and families affected by the disease. González Vega stated that the Pink Lighting is a tribute to the strength and resilience of those who have faced breast cancer, a recognition of the families who have accompanied them, and a message of hope for those still fighting.
She emphasized that behind each diagnosis is a human story and that awareness can save lives. The agency aims to promote spaces that educate about the importance of prevention and solidarity.
