The Puerto Rico Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO) reports that gasoline prices have increased as of Friday, with regular gasoline selling for between $1.17 and $1.20 per liter ($4.42–$4.53 a gallon), premium gasoline between $1.30 and $1.40 ($4.91–$5.29 a gallon), and diesel between $1.50 and $1.58 ($5.67–$5.97 a gallon). This represents an increase of around two cents per liter for regular and premium gasoline, and up to eight cents for diesel, compared to Thursday’s prices.

DACO monitors fuel prices daily and publishes the ranges reported by different brands and wholesalers operating on the island, aiming to keep prices within reasonable parameters according to market costs. Prices may vary between stations and brands, so consumers are advised to compare prices before purchasing fuel. The new prices will be in effect for the long weekend, unless there are additional changes in the next few hours.
