A driver invaded the exclusive lane of the Metropolitan Bus Authority (AMA) and caused a traffic accident with a driver transport unit on Vico C Street in Puerta de Tierra, San Juan, the public corporation reported on Saturday. The unit was carrying nine drivers, three of whom were injured and are being treated at the Hospital Industrial.
The AMA urged citizens to respect the laws and not invade the exclusive lane, stating that using it without authorization is a violation of the law and puts lives at risk. The agency expressed solidarity with the affected employees and their families and will provide them with support. The AMA will keep the public informed about the health status of the workers.
