Why this matters: Owners of small and medium businesses outside the San Juan metro area get free access to expert workshops and networking in five towns, with backing from the Economic Development Bank, Banco Popular and T-Mobile.

GFR Media will hold the Enfoque Pymes Networking Sessions, a series of free gatherings for small and medium-sized business owners and leaders across five regions of Puerto Rico, aimed at bringing business knowledge, resources and development opportunities outside the metropolitan area. Each session runs from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the five named municipalities.

GFR Media CEO Rafael Lama Bonilla said the goal is to connect local business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with free resources and tools to help them grow or establish their businesses, while continuing to give visibility to the local business community featured weekly in Enfoque Pymes, the digital magazine of El Nuevo Día’s business section. GFR Media general director Yalixa Rivera Cruz said the initiative, backed by the Enfoque Pymes brand, will keep supporting small and medium-sized businesses across Puerto Rico, with workshops offering practical tools and knowledge, connections to experts, and chances to build commercial relationships with other business owners.

Interested merchants can reserve a spot through a registration link; the sessions are free of charge. The series is sponsored by the Economic Development Bank (BDE), Banco Popular and T-Mobile, with support from consulting firm INprende, Grupo Guayacán and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).
