A 15-year-old boy is receiving medical care this Wednesday night at Hospital Federico Trilla in Carolina after apparently self-inflicting a knife wound to his hip, at his mother’s residence. According to preliminary Puerto Rico Police information, the teenager was at home with a group of friends while his mother was cooking food for them. Under circumstances being investigated, the minor took a knife and caused the injury to himself.
He was transported to the hospital immediately, accompanied by his mother. The Police confirmed that, in the past, officers have stopped the minor in incidents related to aggressive behavior. As part of protocols, the authorities and corresponding agencies will be visiting the residence.
