Puerto Ricans ordering through Uber Eats clearly favored chocolate and pizza for Halloween 2025, according to data the platform shared on its Halloween consumption habits on the island. Chocolate led the sweets category, while pizza was the most requested restaurant food category, followed by hamburgers, coffee and tea, chicken, and desserts. Orders of assorted candy bags tripled during Halloween week compared with the average of the previous four weeks.
The most requested products included mini chocolate bars, assorted chocolates, and crunchy chocolate bars, popular choices for handing out to trick-or-treaters. Popcorn orders rose about 20%, while gummies and other soft candies increased by more than 10%. Delivery activity also grew: orders placed in Puerto Rico on October 31, 2025 rose 25% compared with the same day in 2024.
"Celebrations like Halloween bring family and friends together, and something always comes up that is missing: more candy to hand out, snacks, or food for guests," said Verónica Jadue, communications manager for Uber Eats in the Andean Region, Central America and the Caribbean, in written statements.
