Puerto Rican world champion boxer Amanda Serrano is shaping her farewell fight, planned for early 2027 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, known as the Choliseo. The company Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) is considering Saturday, January 9, 2027 as the date for the last bout of her career, though no official announcement about the card has been made.
"And to think I will fill this place again in January 2027 for my last fight! Don't miss it!"
Serrano herself announced on her X account, formerly Twitter, that she will fight for the last time at the Choliseo in January 2027. She posted the message a week earlier while attending a second consecutive night of concerts at the coliseum: reggaetón one night, then a performance by her favorite merengue singer, Manny Manuel. "And to think I will fill this place again in January 2027 for my last fight! Don’t miss it!" she wrote.
The seven-division world champion had previously said she wanted her final professional fight to be in Puerto Rico before the fans who have supported her career. She earned her 50th professional win on August 21, beating Argentina’s Lucrecia Anabella Manzur by majority decision in California in a defense of her 126-pound world title, bringing her record to 50-4-1.
In May she tied Christy Martin’s mark of 32 knockouts, so one more knockout would set a new record. No opponent, card details or ticket sales have been announced.
