A $666,000 lawsuit filed in Puerto Rico preceded a triple killing in the Cupey area of San Juan. William Noel Rivera Sánchez filed the suit on June 25, 2026 before the Court of First Instance in San Juan (case SJ2026CV05345) against lawyer Luis A. Quiñones González, Félix Plaud de Choudens and related parties, over a medical cannabis dispensary investment begun in 2021.
Rivera alleged that in mid-2021 Quiñones González offered him a stake through Diamante Verde LLC and Cupey Wellness LLC: 24.5% of the dispensary for $125,000, paid in monthly installments of $5,000 to $10,000, out of a 49% share offered to investors. He said he handed over $10,000 in cash on August 21, 2021, the same day Cupey Wellness LLC was incorporated, and had paid $161,000 in total by 2023, including $22,000 in rent from November 2022 to January 2026, $10,000 in equipment and $4,000 in improvements.
In September 2023 the medical cannabis prelicense moved toward Victory Research & Development LLC, whose president and sole member was Estrella de Choudens Colón, identified as Plaud’s mother. A September 16, 2024 notarized contract before Emmanuel Márques Díaz recognized Cupey Wellness LLC’s 74.5% stake but, Rivera claimed, never defined his personal share. He sued for $166,000 plus $500,000 for emotional distress.
The claims are his allegations, not judicial findings. On Friday, Rivera posted videos attributing the killings of Plaud and Quiñones González to himself, citing the financial dispute.
