Why this matters: For Caguas families and the small vendors, farmers and artisans of Caguas Market, the October 31 event channels Halloween spending toward the city center’s local businesses.

The Plaza Santiago R. Palmer in downtown Caguas, Puerto Rico will host Halloween Town, a special Halloween edition of Caguas Market, on Saturday, October 31, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with free admission, according to organizers. The event will bring together candy, costumes, food and entertainment for children and adults. Highlights include a traditional Trick or Treat, in which children accompanied by their families can visit participating vendor stalls to receive candy and surprises, and a costume contest for children and pets, with characters ranging from superheroes to fantasy creatures.

The program also features a Halloween Beauty Bar, music and seasonal characters to create a festive atmosphere for market visitors. Beyond the costumes and sweets, the event promotes the gastronomic offering and products of Puerto Rican entrepreneurs, with a variety of foods, drinks, desserts, candy, crafts, plants, agricultural products and original items, including Halloween-inspired offerings.

Caguas Market is a meeting space for farmers, artisans, producers and small business owners, and promotes local shopping and commercial activity in the urban center of Caguas.
