The theatrical comedy "Por mis muertos," blending ghosts, mystery and farce, opens at the Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce in San Juan, Puerto Rico starting October 30, produced by Producciones Aragua Inc. Presented by Florentino Rodríguez, written by Spanish playwright José Warletta, and directed in Puerto Rico by Miguel Diffoot, the cast includes Gerardo Ortiz in the role of Madame Jacint, alongside Idalia Pérez Garay, Jonathan Cardenales, Herbert Cruz and Linnette Torres. Set in the 1920s, the story begins in an elegant salon where an unusual seer gathers a group of characters for a mysterious séance ordered from beyond the grave.

What appears to be a solemn encounter with the dead quickly turns into chaos, as secrets, reproaches, lies and unexpected apparitions force the characters to confront both the supernatural and what they have tried to hide. The play combines vaudeville, suspense and acid humor, with the tagline that the dead may seem far calmer than the living.

Performances run Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30 PM and Sundays at 4:00 PM. Tickets are available through Ticketera and Ticket Center.
