Puerto Rico Governor Jenniffer González Colón left the island Monday for Florida, where she will take part in several events, including one with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. González did not detail the activities on her agenda beyond that. DeSantis’s public schedule shows the Florida governor attending a "Get Out The Vote" campaign rally in Miami with US Senator Ashley Moody, but it is unknown whether González Colón would attend that event.
As is usual in these cases, Secretary of State Rosachely Rivera will serve as interim governor until González Colón returns, which is expected Tuesday night.
