An unidentified pedestrian was killed early Monday on Puerto Rico’s PR-2 highway at kilometer 13.1 in Bayamón after being hit by two vehicles. According to preliminary information, the man was crossing the roadway when a vehicle struck him and its driver fled the scene without stopping or offering assistance. A short time later, the driver of a gray Toyota Yaris traveling along the same highway apparently did not notice the body on the pavement and ran over him again.
The victim has not been identified. He was described as a man between 50 and 60 years old, fair-skinned, thin, and with gray hair, who was wearing only underwear. Agent Reinaldo Tellado, assigned to the Patrol and Highways Division in Bayamón, conducted the preliminary investigation and referred the case to the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) of Bayamón.
