Puerto Rico’s Halloween weekend offers a wide range of cultural activities, including music, storytelling, costumes and theater. The collective EYFA holds the fourth edition of the Puerto Rico BellyDance Fusion Fest International under the concept "MAGIC," celebrating the fusion of Arab and Puerto Rican culture. Morning offerings include the collective exhibition "Aves de Puerto Rico" at Casa Pueblo’s Galería de Arte Joaquín Parrilla in Adjuntas, where 17 artists interpret the island’s 19 living endemic bird species, with a talk by ethologist José "Pepe" González and free admission.

The Instituto de Cultura Puertorriqueña opens a bibliographic show honoring composer Tite Curet Alonso on the centennial of his birth, at the Biblioteca Nacional in Puerta de Tierra, San Juan, and presents "La Isla en femenino," drawn from its collection, at the Galería de Arte-UPR Carolina. Also running: "XL años A Cueto Gallery" with 24 artists, including Arnaldo Roche Rabell and Rafael Rivera Rosa, celebrating the gallery’s 40th anniversary; Amanda Carmona Bosch’s exhibition at the Museo de las Américas ($8 adults, $5 students, seniors and children); a tribute to Pedro Albizu Campos in Río Piedras; poetry nights at Casa Norberto; the concert "Quiméricas" at the Conservatorio de Música; the comedy "Santurcia" at Teatro El Shorty; the traditional Noche de Catrinas at the Museo de Las Américas, dedicated to Curet Alonso and closing with singer Andrea Cruz, with free shuttle from the Salvation Army building; and "Amores, bobos y ladrones" by the Teatro Rodante Universitario marking its 80th anniversary.
