The Senadores de San Juan will retire the number 9 worn by former Major League player Carlos Baerga Ortiz in a tribute this Thursday, November 5, at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan. The event, titled "¡Viva Carlos!", will take place as the Senadores begin their 2026-2027 season in the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League (LBPRC).
Fans attending will also receive a commemorative and collectible ticket. Baerga Ortiz said he is very grateful to the Senadores and anticipated that the night will be even more special because of the commemorative ticket. The number retirement will happen in front of his home crowd at the same time the team opens the new winter league season.
