Two men were shot and killed early Sunday in San Juan, in a case being investigated by police. According to preliminary information, the shooting was reported around 5:35 a.m. on Calle 18 in Barrio Obrero, after a call to the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted authorities to gunfire in the area. When officers arrived, they found two men dead with gunshot wounds in various parts of their bodies.
One of the victims was inside a blue 2024 Hyundai Venue, and the other was on the pavement next to the vehicle. Personnel from the San Juan Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) and the on-duty prosecutor took charge of the case. As of Saturday, police had reported 330 homicides so far this year, four fewer than the 334 recorded at the same date in 2025.
