Meraliz Rosa, the daughter of 67-year-old Lourdes Pérez, who was allegedly murdered by her 16-year-old grandson at the Santa María Shopping Center in Guaynabo, spoke out about her mother's death on Monday. Through Facebook posts, Rosa shared photos and memories with Pérez, describing her as her guide, support, and a fundamental figure in her life.
Rosa remembered her mother as a happy, solidarity, and dedicated woman to her family, especially her grandchildren. The victim's daughter expressed her desire to preserve her mother's image as a strong and fighter woman, despite the circumstances of her death. According to reports, Pérez was afraid of the teenager and had reported incidents of domestic violence to the Department of Family (DF) and the Police Department.
Rosa hopes that justice will be served and promised to keep her mother's memory alive.
