Each reading showed the reservoir losing between 5 and 6 centimeters, leaving it in the "ajustes" band and only 0.41 to 0.52 meters above the control line. At the current pace, officials estimate the reservoir has roughly 7.7 to 10.4 days of capacity remaining, underscoring the persistent strain on the island's water supply.

That strain was reflected in public frustration on the streets of Old San Juan, where protesters blocked the Dos Hermanos bridge during an event attended by the governor. Demonstrators timed the action to coincide with the governor's activity, citing the lack of water and ongoing blackouts as the driving grievances behind the protest.

Away from the water crisis and street demonstrations, Puerto Rico is preparing to host the Final Six male tournament, with local organizers and the team expressing ambitions of reaching the podium.
