The Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) has confiscated the game played on June 14 between the Capitanes de Arecibo and the Criollos de Caguas, ruling in favor of the Capitanes. The decision was made after it was determined that Richard Núñez, a player for Caguas, participated in the game despite being suspended due to a disqualification in the previous game against San Germán.
Núñez played for four minutes in the first half, but did not play in the second half after being notified by tournament director Ricardo Carrillo. As a result of the confiscation, the Capitanes improved their record to 17-12 and secured a spot in the postseason, while the Criollos fell to second place in Conference A with a record of 18-11.
The BSN stated that any party disagreeing with the decision can submit a request for reconsideration or appeal within two business days.
