The Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) league's board of directors will hold its first ordinary meeting in late September or early October, where President Ricardo Dalmau will set the agenda. The meeting will not address potential changes to the league's format or the number of reinforcements per team, as any proposed amendments to the regulations must be shared with the board seven days in advance. According to Director of Tournament Ricardo Carrillo, no team owner expressed interest in changing the format or the number of reinforcements during the past season.
The current format, which features conferences and three reinforcements per team, was established for the 2025, 2026, and 2027 seasons. The league adopted this format after a vote in 2024, with President Dalmau casting the deciding vote. Since then, the Vaqueros de Bayamón have won two consecutive championships.
The board of directors had previously approved a measure allowing each team to contract three reinforcements, with a limit of six changes before the deadline and up to two additional substitutions during the postseason.
