A 78-year-old woman, Damaso Concepción Correa, died on Monday in a traffic accident on Road 681 in the Islote neighborhood of Arecibo. According to the police, she was driving a Toyota Corolla at a speed that did not allow her to control the vehicle, resulting in a collision with a concrete post and then an almond tree.
The impact caused fatal injuries, and she died instantly. The investigation was led by Agent Rafael Vega Miranda of the Arecibo Highway Patrol Division and Prosecutor Ramon W.
Ayende Sánchez of the Arecibo Prosecutor's Office. Ayende Sánchez ordered the victim's vehicle to be seized for inspection purposes.
