LUMA Energy announced that scheduled maintenance work will be carried out on Wednesday in various parts of the island, which may cause temporary power outages in 21 towns. The work includes increasing the resilience of poles, replacing and repairing electrical lines and equipment, and installing automated devices.
LUMA stated that these interventions aim to strengthen the reliability of the system, but may generate temporary interruptions in service. The company urged customers to stay alert to official notices about possible outages.
The work also includes new construction, removal of hazardous vegetation, and tasks requested by clients. LUMA emphasized that this type of work is necessary to improve the stability of the electrical grid.
