LUMA Energy announced that it will carry out a series of scheduled works in different municipalities of Puerto Rico this Friday to strengthen the resilience and reliability of the electrical grid. The company stated that these temporary service interruptions are necessary to perform maintenance tasks, replace equipment, and construct new infrastructure to modernize the electrical system and reduce the risk of future failures.
The scheduled works include increasing the resilience of poles, replacing and repairing electrical lines and equipment, and new construction. LUMA reminded customers that, in addition to these works that require scheduled service interruptions, it also performs other improvements that do not affect the electrical supply and are part of the process of modernizing the infrastructure.
The company urged customers to stay informed about the schedules and affected areas through its website, where it updates the calendar of scheduled improvements daily.
