SER of Puerto Rico held its 50th traditional Teletón at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, where they announced that they had raised $8,303,665, doubling last year's figure of $4,102,375. Nilda Morales, president of SER de Puerto Rico, expressed her gratitude and emotion on social media, stating that the figure represents hope for thousands of families and the commitment to continue creating opportunities for those in need.
The event was broadcast on various channels, including WAPA TV, WAPA América, and Telemundo, and featured musical performances by artists such as Black Guayaba, Pirulo, and Christian Daniel. The organization, with over 75 years of history, was recently declared a patrimony of the people of Puerto Rico in recognition of its service, social, and educational work.
Morales thanked everyone who donated, shared, or collaborated, saying that the achievement belongs to everyone.
