Judge Orlando Puldón Gómez of the Carolina Tribunal found cause for arrest against Dominique Ayala Hogan, 32, for allegedly attempting to run over his father with a vehicle during a dispute on June 29 in the Piñones sector of Loíza. Prosecutor Kristhia Méndez Márquez filed charges including first-degree attempted murder, threats, and possession and use of a deadly weapon.
Puldón Gómez set a $400,000 bail, which Ayala Hogan was unable to pay, and he will remain in custody at the Bayamón Correctional Complex. According to the police investigation, the incident occurred on PR-187 highway after a discussion between Ayala Hogan and his father, during which Ayala Hogan allegedly struck his father with a 2020 Nissan Rogue SL, trapping him between the vehicle and a Ford F-150.
The victim received medical assistance at the scene and was taken to a local hospital, where his condition was reported as stable.
