A man was shot in the morning in the Torrecilla Baja sector of Piñones, on PR-187, kilometer 4.6, according to the Puerto Rico Police. A 9-1-1 emergency call alerted authorities to a person injured at the scene.
Upon arrival, agents found a man with two gunshot wounds in the leg area. The victim, who was not identified, was treated by emergency medical personnel and transported to a hospital for treatment.
His condition was described as stable. The investigation was referred to the Aggressions Division of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) in Carolina.
