José Julio Aparicio Sworn in as President of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce

José Julio Aparicio, an attorney and entrepreneur, was sworn in as the new president of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce (CCPR) on Friday. Aparicio has extensive experience in the business world and has worked on issues related to the US Congress for two decades. He has also provided analysis on business development for companies looking to expand in Puerto Rico.

During his inauguration ceremony, Aparicio stated that the CCPR is entering a new era and that it is their responsibility to build solutions, promote consensus, and lead by example to create conditions that allow the economy to grow and generate more opportunities for all. Aparicio has founded several companies, including Knox Medical, Gentech Security, Red Rooster, and WininPR. He has also created the Programa Federal Affairs Chamber Educational Series (FACES) and led the Comité Especial de Desarrollo Económico Deportivo.

Aparicio's presidency will be guided by three strategic priorities: increasing Puerto Rico's competitiveness, promoting modern and efficient infrastructure, and implementing structural reforms to modernize the government and increase productivity.
